Our researchers have published a new paper on climate lobbying in the United States, highlighting the strategies of major corporate players. The paper, titledCorporate Climate Lobbying is authored Prof. Markus Leippold, Prof. Zacharias Sautner, and Dr. Tingyu Yu.

The study reveals that firms with higher carbon emissions spend more on anti-climate lobbying to prevent stricter regulations. Utility companies lead both pro- and anti-climate lobbying efforts, with a notable trend of camouflaged lobbying becoming increasingly common.
