Thomas Sargent

Thomas Sargent (Nobel Prize Laureate and Professor of Economics at New York University) delivered a plenary talk titled "Macroeconomics After Lucas" at our Zurich Workshop on the Frontier of Quantitative Macroeconomics: Methods and Models held on June 6-7, 2024.

In his keynote speech, Thomas Sargent reviewed the significant advancements in macroeconomic methods and theories over the past 50 years. His outstanding presentation sparked extensive discussion throughout the conference and dinner. Many attendees suggested that this lecture should become essential learning material for first-year PhD students in Economics and Finance.
